Story So Far…
David has spent most of his life in London, tucked between the hum of the West End and the quiet pull of the Thames. Trained as a graphic designer, the world of publishing swept him up early on — first as an illustrator, then as a creative lead, which led to him forming his own business creating illustrated books for children. Myths & legends, science & history, biographies of great minds — David helped tell hundreds of stories across more than 500 books.
But art was always there, waiting. Now, with more time and less noise, David has retreated to his studio to paint and sculpt.
His studio is where oil meets canvas and clay becomes creature. The sculptures are playful, often strange — centaurs, sirens, sphinxes — things with teeth and tales. The paintings are quieter, more internal. Some look to myth, some to landscape, some to memory. But all of it is him, after fifty years of making, still chasing something new.
